Cairngorm Colonics

Fiona is a Dotolo Qualified Colon Hydrotherapist who currently lives in the Highland Village of Aviemore and also works locally as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Fiona is now able to offer flexible appointments at Aviemore Beauty and Alternative Therapy Centre for Colonic Hydrotherapy and Enemas.

Colon Hydrotherapy involves gentle, continual bathing of the colon by infusing warm filtered water into the rectum. Although this process is sometimes uncomfortable, it is not painful.

The water flow triggers a response in which the patient begins to expel the water and waste through a tube that allows the therapist to monitor the expelled bowel contents This response is known as peristalsis, which is a normal pattern of smooth muscle contractions that propel foodstuffs through the digestive tract.

Why have it?

In order to thrive our body requies:

Oxygen, Nutrients, Water and the ability to eliminate waste.

Infrequent bowel movements or constipation can result in encrusted waste substances building up in the colon. These toxins lower the body’s defences against bacteria and viruses. 80 % of the immune system is dependent on intestinal health.

Colonic Hydrotherapy aims to:

  • Hydrate the colon
  • Support the body’s ability to heal itself naturally
  • Increase cellular function
  • Promote repair and cell regeneration
  • Support the elimination of waste
  • Reduce toxic overload
  • Increase vitality and performance
  • Reduce sluggishness and bloating
  • Detoxify, achieving a clearer complexion
  • Kick start a weight management programme

A colonic can help with:

  • Digestive system problems: Bloating, Diarrhoea, Constipation & Flatulence
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Allergies & Intolerances
  • Headaches
  • Candida (Thrush/Yeast)

Cleanse and Live Vibrantly

It is possible to live with severe toxic Body Burden and still not “feel” toxic. This is the equivalent to driving down the motorway at 75 mph with bald tyres, everything seems fine until one of the tyres blows. Countless victims of cancer and other life threatening diseases felt fine the day they were diagnosed, this is why toxins and pathogens are called silent killers. Providing solutions which support our cleansing channels makes sense, for thousands of years’ mankind has used cleansing and detoxification to maintain health. Today more than ever we are exposed to a vast number of toxins in our homes, workplaces, air, food and water. Cleansing your body now is crucial to maintaining and restoring health. The healing powers of nature, enhanced with 21st century technology provide the most effective, safe and affordable solution for two of the greatest threats to optimal health today -chemical toxicity and chronic inflammation.

At Cairngorm Colonics we use a “Hermann Comfort”, a state of the art colon hydrotherapy device. The device is a closed system which affords a comfortable procedure while maintaining the dignity of the client. Purified and temperature controlled filtered water is fed into the colon at a controlled rate. The abdomen is gently massaged to dislodge impacted faecal matter and to expel the waste through a tube. There is no open evacuation and no offensive odours. It is therapist assisted for effectiveness, comfort and most importantly safety.
